Auto Detailing in Fargo, ND

A proper detail is more than a car wash. We decontaminate the paint, deep-clean every interior surface, and protect what we touch so the finish lasts through salt, sand and sun.

Why Fargo drivers choose Car Kings for auto detailing

From downtown to Osgood, Fargo drivers put serious winter miles on their vehicles — road salt, gravel and sub-zero swings are exactly what our services are built to fight.

Car Kings is our home base, so you get a proper auto detailing install without a long haul. Every job is quoted to your exact vehicle — you’ll get a fast, free quote before any work begins.

What Fargo drivers get

  • Hand wash and hand dry using two buckets and pH-neutral soap, so the wash step lifts road salt without stripping the wax, sealant or coating you already paid for
  • Clay bar and iron remover on the paint, which pulls out the embedded brake dust and rail dust a wash mitt slides right over
  • Hot-water extraction on carpets and upholstery. We flush the salt out of the fibers and pull the water back out with it
  • Leather cleaned and then conditioned, because our winter air is dry enough to pull the oils out of a seat and leave it brittle
  • Door jambs, sills and the gas cap area done by hand. That is where winter grime actually collects, and it is where most quick services stop
  • A recommendation you can decline. If your paint doesn't need correction, we say so at the quote, before you have committed to anything
  • A clean foundation for tint, film or coating. Those products bond to decontaminated paint or they don't bond well at all

Detailing a car that lives outside in Fargo

Fargo Public Works makes its own salt brine and sprays it ahead of a storm, roughly 54 gallons per lane mile, working through the main arterials over about ten hours before the snow lands. Good call for traction. It also means the stuff on your car arrived as a liquid, not a rock, and liquid goes where rock salt never could. Into panel seams. Behind wheel liners. Up inside door jambs, where it sits and stays wet.

The other half of the problem walks in on your boots. Downtown and around NDSU, a lot of vehicles never see a garage. Seasonal night parking restrictions run November 1 through April 15 between 1 and 7 a.m., so the car ends up in a ramp or a surface lot overnight and picks up whatever is on that floor. Sand grinds into carpet fiber under a heel. Once it works down into the backing it does not vacuum out, and by April it has been in there five months.

So a Fargo detail is weighted differently than a summer detail somewhere warm. Jambs and the underbody get flushed properly. Mats come out, seats get moved, and we get into the seat rails and the trunk well where the grit collects out of sight. Late March is the sweet spot, after the last brine run of the season.
