Our story
Car Kings Detailing is a local, independent shop in Fargo-Moorhead. Four services: detailing, window tint, paint protection film, and ceramic coating. All of it done by hand, indoors, on a schedule that leaves room for the prep work.
Every one of those four exists because we kept seeing the same four problems come through the door. Paint dulled by brine. Interiors worn down by long winters spent idling. Windshields and headlights pitted by a summer of county gravel. Finishes that could not face another season here. The shop is built around those specific failures rather than around a service menu copied from a warmer state.
That regional part is not incidental. A vehicle in this valley ages faster than a vehicle almost anywhere else in the country: road salt, sub-zero stretches, gravel, and the UV that comes with an open prairie sky. We drive on the same roads and deal with the same winters you do, which is mostly useful because it means we have already seen your problem. When someone tells us their paint looks tired after one hard winter, the diagnosis takes about thirty seconds.

How we work
We work by hand and in-shop, giving each vehicle the time it needs rather than the time a conveyor-belt schedule would allow. The reason is simple enough to say out loud. Paint correction done in a hurry leaves swirl marks behind. Film installed too fast traps dust and lifts at the edges inside a season. Coating applied over paint that was never properly decontaminated never bonds the way it is supposed to. So we take fewer vehicles and finish them properly.
We will also tell you when you do not need something. If your paint does not need a full correction, you will hear that. If a lighter package serves you better than the expensive one, that is the one we recommend, even though it is the smaller ticket for us that afternoon. The point is a customer who comes back next winter.
Every product recommendation is filtered through this climate. Coatings and films are chosen and applied with brine, gravel, and February in mind. We know what a Fargo winter does to an unprotected finish: how brine works into clear coat, how road grit sandblasts a bumper at interstate speed, how a hard cold snap finds every flaw in a rushed tint install. The whole process is aimed at preventing that rather than repairing it afterward.
