Why Casselton drivers choose Car Kings for window tint
Farm-country roads and long highway runs mean Casselton vehicles see gravel, dust and sun — detailing, coating and PPF keep them looking sharp.
Car Kings is about 25 minutes west, so you get a proper window tint install without a long haul. Every job is quoted to your exact vehicle — you’ll get a fast, free quote before any work begins.
What Casselton drivers get
- Cuts cabin heat, so the car isn't a furnace after four hours in a July parking lot
- Blocks the UV that fades a dash, cracks leather and bleaches upholstery over the years
- Reduces glare from low winter sun and from sunlight coming off snow-covered fields
- Adds privacy for whatever is sitting on your back seat at a trailhead or a parking ramp
- Takes load off your AC, since the system is starting from a cooler cabin
- Holds glass fragments together if a window is struck, rather than letting them scatter through the cabin
- Gives the vehicle a clean, uniform shade line across matched glass
- Nano-ceramic options that don't interfere with GPS, cell or radio signal, unlike the older metallic films
We walk you through carbon vs. ceramic and the legal shade limits in North Dakota.
Each pane is plotted and cut to your exact vehicle — no razor blades on the glass.
Film is applied and squeegeed in a controlled space to prevent dust and bubbles.
We explain the short cure period and hand you the warranty paperwork.
Low autumn sun and a long wait at the scale
US-10 and the county grid around Casselton run dead east and west along the section lines. Late in September the sun goes down close enough to due west that it comes straight down the windshield on the drive home, at about the height of a combine cab. Then add what is in the air. Chaff and field dust scatter that light instead of letting it through, so the glare arrives as a wash of white rather than one bright disc. A visor does very little with it.
The other place a Casselton vehicle cooks is the queue. Pickups and semis sit waiting for a scale ticket through the middle of a warm afternoon, engines off, no shade anywhere on an elevator site. The Central Cass lots do the same thing for eight hours at a stretch.
The legal numbers are worth stating flat. North Dakota requires at least 35% VLT on every window other than the windshield, and there is no darker allowance for the rear glass. The windshield must be at least 70% VLT, with non-reflective film permitted above the AS-1 line. That is NDCC 39-21-39, changed by HB 1340, effective August 1, 2025. A 35% floor takes darkness off the table as a heat strategy, which leaves film construction as the only lever on infrared. The strip above the AS-1 line is the piece that answers the westbound drive.
