FAQ / Detailing & Correction

What's the difference between a car wash and a full detail?

A wash removes what is loose. Surface dirt, road film, salt, maybe a vacuum inside. It is upkeep. A detail is a reset. Outside, that means a decontamination wash, iron removal, clay to pull embedded grit out of the paint, and usually a layer of protection over the top. Inside, it means carpets and upholstery cleaned through, leather and vinyl conditioned, vents and seat rails and door pockets done by hand, and odor traced to its source. Rule of thumb: a wash keeps a clean car clean, a detail brings a rough one back. Most people here run washes through the season and book a full detail twice a year.
